Choosing Wedding Sand Colors for a Unity Ceremony
There are many unity ceremonies that you can choose from for a wedding, but the sand ceremony is one that is particularly special. You can take your wedding sand ceremony set and save it as a memento of the joining of two people. The choice of colors is also very important.
In most cases, there are three colors of wedding sand. You can choose to have just two if you like, one for the bride and one for the groom, but many people like to involve the minister as well.
It’s also possible to add children into the mix. They can have their own color or they can have a lighter shade of the parent’s color. For example, if the bride chooses red and the groom blue, the children might use light blue and pink.
You can select colors that you like, or that mean something to you. What were you wearing when you first met? The colors that you associate with the other person can also be good colors. If you like your man in forest green, that could be his wedding sand color, for example.
More traditional colors include blue or black for the man, white, pink or red for the woman. You might also try shades of brown, such as tan for the bride and darker brown for the man with white or black sand for the minister. That doesn’t mean you need to stick with these, but it’s a starting point. The truth is, there are many colors to select from and in the end, it is up to you to decide what works best.
You may also want to choose sparkling sand which adds another dimension into the whole thing. This can be a wonderful way to make the ceremony even more magical. Wedding sand is a very important part of a special ritual, so choose something you’ll cherish for years to come.
